For the first time in the city of Leon, the artist Yuri Zatarain presents his collection entitled “Tú, yo, y tu otro yo”, where he shows his 60 works.

Formed by pieces of painting, sculpting, acrylics, oil paintings, steel and large format paintings, This collection will be exhibited in Plaza del moral, where it will remain until this next June 5^th. During the opening of the exhibition, Yuri Zatarain said to feel very happy about seeing his works gathered and displayed to the public that afternoon in which he was joined by friends and family.

The artist has a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara.

“Tú, yo y tu otro yo” will remain until this next June 5^th.

There are 60 works of art included in this exhibition.

The exhibition “Tú, yo y tu otro yo”, from the fine artist born in Sinaloa, México, Yuri Zatarain, will be opened this next Tuesday.

The Vice-President of Culture of the Chamber of Commerce of Guadalajara, Miguel Angel Dominguez Morales, informed that the painter, sculptor, engraver and designer was born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, and, attracted by art since his early years, achieved his first award in painting at age six.

He highlighted that after two decades dedicated to the study of art, Zatarain has become a worldwide icon of design, by participating in almost 250 individual and collective exhibitions around the globe.
He has taken his work to cities such as Mexico, Oaxaca, New York, Washington, San Francisco, Paris, London, Milan, Verona, Berlin, Cologne, Moscow and Dubai.

“In the past six years, he has focused his artistic expressions to capture the story of two lovers, in a plastic codex that manifests his creativity, energy and talent, as well as his mastery on different techniques”, he declared.
He said that with simplicity through robust and colorful textures, “every work represents a page where the letters are not needed and the spectator is able to read his own story. Nevertheless, it seems impossible to do so without getting carried away by the poetic and sensuous hue in some and the fun and amusing tone in others”.

He also added that the exhibition was made up of 35 paintings and 13 sculptures, and offers a summary of another chapter of that contemporary and apparently endless story filled with metaphors, since the characters Involved grow and mature along with their author as he faces new challenges.
The artist commented that his work is intimately connected to his vision of life “because I believe that love is the force that makes the world go round and that inside every one of us, there is a need of loving and being loved”.
He also said that he has spent six years creating collections around an episode of this story of two lovers, and “today I present my recent work, inspired in three chapters of this book I write almost every day in my study”, he added.
When he was asked if his stories had a biographic touch, he accepted with a smile that it was so, and added that his “animales de la fortuna” (fortune animals) were born in a subway station in London after meeting a fortune teller that may have never existed.

“Everyone at a certain time has dreamed of a great love. In my stories, many of my fortunes and misfortunes can be found. There is plenty of my dreams, and also my sad days”, he said.

The exhibition will be opened tomorrow in a private event for members of the Chamber of Commerce and special guests (media representatives), and will be opened to the general public from May 6th to June 11th, from Monday to Saturday.
